Prices
The prices displayed for Products available for purchase via the Site represent the applicable retail prices, and do not include taxes, shipping or handling charges (to the extent applicable). Any applicable taxes, shipping or handling charges will be communicated to you before you place an order. The prices displayed on the Site are quoted in CAD dollars by default – adjust your currency to USD as needed. Products in your shopping cart reflect the current price displayed on the Product’s details page. Please note that this price may differ from the price displayed when the Product was first placed in your shopping cart - especially if you took time to make up your mind, consult with friends, or get approval from your party planning committee!
Coupons and Discounts
From time to time discounts and coupons will be available for either an entire order cost or specific items. Coupon codes are entered at Cart Checkout and the discount is applied before you confirm your order.

Payment Terms
- Credit Card information is required for purchase with a guest account. By entering your Credit Card information, you authorize credit card payment for your purchases of BÉSICS® compostable food service ware and packaging, plus shipping and applicable taxes (Visa or MasterCard only; American Express not accepted.)
- Credit cards will be charged as your order is placed.
- Net payment terms are available for fifteen (15) thirty (30) or sixty (60) days from the date of shipment for credit qualifying customers. A charge of 3% per month will be added to the unpaid balance on all invoicing not paid on or before the due date. To qualify for Net payment terms, contact our Shop team.
Pickup at our Store
Pickup at our South Vancouver store is available M-F 9-5pm Pacific Time excluding statutory holidays in British Columbia (New Year’s Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, BC Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day).
If you select Pick up on checkout, your invoice confirmation will confirm your Pickup Date.
Shipping
Shipping is auto-calculated by our shipping partners at checkout. In some cases, shipping costs may be adjusted prior to shipment. In such cases, you will be contacted prior to shipment. Shipping costs are nonrefundable.
Lost or Stolen Packages
BÉSICS® is not responsible for lost or stolen packages confirmed delivered to the address entered for an order.
Order Cancellation
Orders can be cancelled until they are shipped. Once shipped, orders cannot be cancelled. Cancelled orders will result in a store credit for the amount charged; no refunds to credit cards are available.
ALL SALES FINAL / RETURNS & REFUNDS
All Sales are Final. Due to the food contact nature of BÉSICS® compostable products, all sales are final. Intact BESICS products cannot be returned for exchange, credit, or refunds.
Replacements In Case of Product Defect. Contact us immediately if defects of manufacture are detected in BÉSICS® compostable foodware products. Please contact us within 5 business days of your order being received to be eligible for replacement. Once defect is verified, replacements will be shipped at no additional cost to you, or store credit provided. Replacements or store credit will only be issued in cases where defective claims are reported to shop@besics.ca with photographs of product defects within 5 business days of confirmed arrival, and after Seller’s inspection of the claim and our agreement to the claimed substantially defective condition.
If you are entitled to a replacement or refund, we will replace the product or refund the purchase price as store credit. Please allow four to six (4-6) weeks for processing defective product claims.
By purchasing with us, you expressly acknowledge and agree that you waive any and all claims for damages. The Seller’s only liability here under shall be, at its sole option, for replacement of defective goods FOB Vancouver, BC, or giving credit for such defective goods.
Due to the compostable nature of the product, in no event will any claim be eligible (i) after goods have been unpackaged or used or (ii) after goods have been stored or (iii) based upon any failure or damage which can not conclusively be proven to have solely resulted from a defect in material or workmanship.
Limited Liability. BÉSICS® liability is limited to the cost of replacement product + original shipping and does not include the cost of any other charges, or giving credit for such defective goods. By purchasing with us, you expressly acknowledge and agree that you waive any and all claims for damages.
Suitability. The Buyer is responsible for determining the suitability of BÉSICS® products for their needs.
Store Credit. If eligible for replacement and no replacement product is available, you will be given store credit for the full amount of your purchase (including shipping).
No Refunds to Credit Card. We are unable to provide refunds to credit cards.
